CTR wins first place in Farmers Insurance Boise Rescue Mission Food Drive 2011

This year was a huge success thanks to you and our participating vendors!

4th Annual Boise Rescue Mission Food Drive

Allow me to start by saying thank you to all of our vendors, agents and Farmers Insurance claims person-nel who contributed to our most successful food drive in four years! Each year the number of participants and the levels of generosity grow. It is truly amazing to me and I am overwhelmed at the support we have received.
Each year, I contact the Boise Rescue Mission prior to the start of our food drive to get a food “wish list”. This year, we were asked to collect canned fruits and vegetables. The big surprise came when I was told the Res-cue Mission was also short approximately 2,000 turkeys!!! Our focus then became trying to collect as much money as possible to donate toward the Rescue Mission “turkey fund”. Every year the need is different depending on what had already been collected in preparation of building 3,000 holiday food boxes. In addition, approximately 7,000 free Holiday meals are served to individuals and families who may be homeless or who just may not be able to afford to prepare a meal for their families or for themselves. We are happy to step in and assist in these efforts each year as part of our awareness and consideration for the people in our community. The holidays are a happy time and should be enjoyed by everyone. If by contributing in this manner, we can bring smiles to the faces of thousands of men, women and children while they sit down to a hot holiday meal, our mission is complete. Enlist-ing the help of our vendors is the only way we can accomplish this and for that we are eternally grateful.
Collectively over the past four years, with the help of our vendors and Farmers Insurance personnel, we have donated a total of 29,250 pounds of food and cash donations of approximately $5,500.00!!! None of this would have been possible without the support of our vendors. I would like to thank each of them individually and give credit where credit is deserved…I look forward to next year being even more successful with more companies joining in the race to collect the most food!!!
As this is a contest we have designed to maximize food and monetary donations, I would like to congratu-late this year’s winner: CTR Cleanup and Total Restoration! The CTR team really stepped up toward the end of the contest and pulled off an amazing win! Of course the success of this year’s food drive would not have been possible without the participation of some of our other vendors. I would like to send a special thanks to the fol-lowing companies and want them to know how much we truly appreciate their generosity and hard work!
